So I do have to start by saying sorry for the lack of updates! I’ve been so busy , I just didn’t have ti time to update my blog!. But if you take the time and go visit my youtube page, or simply just click on a image below and it will take you to your destination :D. Here are a couple of images to tantalize your taste buds. so click away and enjoy!!!!
Coming from an Italian household, sausage was always on the menu! So I had to get cracking and figure how I can make sausages for my family that don’t taste like the store bought *FAUX MEATS* that are out there. Not that they’re aren’t good, but when you come from a family that made homemade sausages, those really don’t compare! So I had to roll up my sleeves and create something that I could make that would satisfy my family, especially my husband. You know the saying…If Mikey likes it!!!
Here is one I make that everyone really enjoys, and I didn’t put much heat in it so my grandchildren could enjoy them too. I always say, just add some heat later if you want them nice and hot, or extra spicy. Here is the link where you can follow step by step.
These sausages go great like a hotdog in a bun or just cut them up and throw them in a pan, cooked in a little red wine. They were simply delicious!
Thank you and enjoy everyone buon appetito!!
Well if you`re anything like me, frustrated whenever you try to find some vegan pierogies at a grocery store, and there are none to be found except for potato and cheddar cheese!!! I can never find any that are vegan for my famly to eat.
Well that`s when you put your foot down and just simply make your own vegan batch; and I promise it is super easy! That`s right! You can totally make your own!!! The best thing is they`re not hard to make at all, and takes very little time.
Coming from an Italian family, we make pasta with our eyes closed ( making them is similar to an Italian ravioli :D, except leave out the egg from the dough). All we needed was to add potato in the pierogi rather than ricotta. Making vegan recipes isn`t difficult at all and healthier than non vegan food.
This recipe does inclue a vegan cream cheeze that I add to the mixture, it will be included in the video.
And to top your pieogies here is my vegan sour cream video link!!! Don`t let me be the one to say how good it is…just try it!!! 😀
This recipe with the potato and cilantro, is one of my family`s favorites! So enjoy guys and leave me a comment if you try them. Double that batch and throw some in the freezer Pierogi recipe link!!
Small note : If you don`t have a hand cranked pasta machine …( I recommend you definitely need to get one, every house hold needs one hehehehe:D ), you can always simply roll out the pasts with a rolling pin. I am sure if you look around you can even find a second hand one pasta machine. New would go for approxitmetly $80.00 dollars and up. What`s life without a pasta machine!
We’ve been addicted to kombucha from day one. Not only is it loaded with probiotics it is so much fun to make — It has a nice tart green apple taste to it, with an underlying sweetness that keeps it all together. And fizzy! Can you believe that something this delicious could actually be made from some tea? What’s exciting is you can make it at home with only a few ingredients.
Kombucha starts out as a sugary tea, which you will then ferment. You will need a “SCOBY” , that you can purchase or start from scratch. The Scoby (mushroom ) isknown as “symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast.”
The scoby bacteria and yeast will eat most of the sugar in the tea, transforming the tea into a refreshingly fizzy, slightly sour fermented (but mostly non-alcoholic) beverage that is relatively low in calories and sugar. That is loaded with so many heath benefits.
Here are a few and I mean only a few of the health benefits. Kombucha is wonderful at supporting the body in so many ways ways. It isn’t a magic pill, but it helps the body function well by supporting:
- liver detoxification
- improved pancreas function
- increased energy
- better digestion
- improved mood (helps with anxiety/depression)
- kills Candida (yeast)
- helps nutrient assimilation
- weight loss
These are only some of the benefits…it helps with acne, warts, wrinkles, weight control, hair loss, hypertension, digestive and intestinal disorders, cancer, arthritis, high cholesterol, MS, Arteriosclerosis, high blood pressure, gall bladder difficulties,
gall stones, strengthens immune system, allergies, tonsillitis, gout, rheumatism, respiratory problems, asthma, bronchitis, kidney and urinary stones, headaches, memory, nervousness, insomnia, stress, low energy, fatigue, diabetes, glandular imbalances, weak eyes, impotence, helps counter difficulties associated with aging and is thus used as a longevity elixir. Kombucha has a strong antibiotic, antiseptic, and detoxifying properties. It has a blood PH normalizer and assists the body in stabilizing metabolic processes…
If you’re like me always trying to save a dollar, you always try to cut back, so 5 years ago I made my very first batch of DIY eco friendly vegan laundry soap! I really didn’t think that it would last so long like the posts I read had said, but to my surprise it did, helping me save all kinds of money! But what really was a surprise was how well it cleaned my clothes.
So after many years of playing around with it, I managed to make a few different types to suit my needs and pocket book. Being vegan I also wanted to make sure the products I used were cruelty free and not tested on animals. That was a must!
You only need to use 1 t0 o2 heaping rounded tablespoons per load, but you can experimented and find the perfect amount to use with each load to fit your needs.
This recipe removes stains, leaves clothes very clean, & my whites are bright too (I do use borax on my whites sometimes as well)
This recipe is also great for sensitive skin. Most commercial laundry detergents are full of chemicals and are very harsh on the skin.
I hope you will enjoy this recipe. It`s my fast version, or when I am out of borax. I will also upload some more types I make soon! So please enoy and let me know how you like it!
You can choose your own soap, scent , how much of one thing or the other & completely personalize this recipe. It’s very forgiving and customizable to your needs and wants.
So here is the link ( eco_friendly laundry soap ) I hope you give it a try!
Here’s a great way to make an easy and delicious low fat, pasta-free, gluten-free lip smacking lasagna dish.
We don’t all have the time to make homemade pasta from scratch; so when you’re having a last minute craving for a nice hot dish of lasagna, this recipe is perfect for you! (Especially during our cold winters in Canada). Ready-made lasagnas are easily accessible at the grocery store, but are full of ingredients that are damaging to our health. Most of the time I eat raw vegan food, but I was craving a nice hot dish of lasagna rather than a cold raw one.
I figured I would take all my raw ingrendients I would normally use to make my raw dish and simply bake it in the oven. I also ended up throwing in some lentil, making it a more robust dish. And let me tell you, you will be pleasantly surprised! It was just out of this world! I couldn’t belive how great and delicious it turned out! Give it a try and leave
me a comment letting me know how you enjoyed it.

Surprise your guests with these mouthfuls of yumminess! Vegan or not, they won’t be able to stop eating these! So, make plenty for these are sure to go!!
This cream cheeze is a cross between cream cheeze and Italian Marscapone cheeze, and I am sure you and your guests will enjoy. Here’s the link to the recipe for my truffle green onion cream cheeze….enjoy!!

Amazing papaya seeds
Naseem, Nasir’s co-researcher, said that the juice of papaya seeds can prevent the kidney from becoming dysfunctional as it contains flavonoids, which can prevent germs from causing diseases.
She also noted that papaya seeds can protect people from several infections and that they can even rid the body of intestine insects. According to Naseem, around 76.7 percent of Nigerian children got rid of intestine insects by simply drinking papaya seed juice for seven days.
She also cited that the Japanese believed that taking in a teaspoon of papaya seeds can protect their liver from some diseases. Likewise, she said that papaya seeds contain a special compound that helps stop the formation of tumors. She also added that such seeds can cure hemorrhoid kind of diseases and that papaya seeds can be used alongside milk to prevent typhoid disease.
What’s a sweet potato without that chipotle mayo to dip it in?? Can be used as a dip or a spread, and it goes well with anything. Let it be a slider or a coconut bacon, tomato and lettuce sandwich. Like the saying goes…I put this **** on anything 😛
Well here you go my vegan friends! It is fast and it is simple and the best part is . . . it’s yummy! To my non vegan friends: give it a go! You will be pleasantly surprised how good vegan mayo can be! Best part is no animals were harmed in preparing this mayo 🙂
What is the first thing someone tells you when they explain why it’s so hard to go vegan?? They will most likely talk to you about dairy and how they just can’t let go of that cheese!! Well, what if I told you that you can make a cheese so good you won’t miss it because you will be able to whip it up in no time at all 🙂 I myself loved cheese, but personally didn’t care to have and cheese what so ever, after knowing what these poor animals went through just so we can steal their milk.
After 8 years or trial and error, I have managed to make some of the best vegan cheeses around. My clients keep returning for more, making that a good sign don’t you think 🙂
So here is one I would like to share with you all. One of my best sellers too!! So if you liked Goat cheese like me. I loved cheeses, here’s a nice Spicy chili paprika aged cheese that tastes very similar. Here is the link to the video enjoy!!
